Can an insured who has an indemnity agreement with a co-defendant bootstrap that obligation into coverage for the co-defendant from the insured’s liability insurer?? 

Can a liability insurer take the position that, if its insured has a right to be indemnified for a claim by a third party, the insured is obligated to pursue and recover that indemnification before the insurer’s obligations under the policy are triggered??
