ACCC Honorary Fellows to be Featured in Transatlantic Lectures on Insurance Law

Several ACCC Honorary Fellows are scheduled to participate in the upcoming Transatlantic Lectures on Insurance Law that are being presented by the Insurance Section of the European Law Institute on March 25 and May 27. The lectures are designed to be informative for both policyholder and insurer coverage lawyers as well as insurers, brokers, regulators and academics. Prof. Jeff Stempel and Prof. Erik Knutsen are part of the planning committee.

The inaugural program on March 25 will feature Prof. Tom Baker (Penn) addressing COVID-19 Business Interruption litigation in the U.S., along with Prof. James Davey (Southampton), who will discuss the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) coverage litigation in the UK. Prof. Christoph Brommelmeyer (Frankfurt) will provide an update on German Covid Coverage litigation with Ulrike Monnich, Esq. addressing the situation in Switzerland.

The May 27 program will address UNIDROIT guidance on reinsurance implications of the COVID-19 coverage battles and potential application of the Principles of Reinsurance Law (PRICL).
