ACCC Pop-Up Dialogue: The Use & Implications of AI in Mediation & Settlement Negotiations

The world is abuzz with discussions about artificial intelligence (AI) and how it may affect litigation.  We’ve seen news stories about practitioners using AI to submit briefs to courts, and many of us have heard about how AI can streamline the review of voluminous documents.  This program will examine the impact of AI on the practice of law from a different perspective: particularly, how AI might transform mediations and other alternative-dispute resolution proceedings.  In particularly, this program will look at case valuations, and feature some discussion about predictive algorithms that may provide insight into your opposing counsel’s next offer.  Panelists will offer the perspectives of practitioners, mediators, and consultants on the topic.

Our Presenters Include:

  • John MumfordHancock, Daniel & Johnson, P.C., Richmond, VA
  • Josh SchmerlingLawPro.ai, Pikesville, MD
  • Jeff KichavenJeff Kichaven Commercial Mediation, Los Angeles, CA
